Totals above show your rows multiplied by 1. Example: enter one week and multiply by 4 for a month.

How to use the hours calculator

  1. Enter a start time, end time and break minutes for each day. An end time earlier than the start counts as an overnight shift.
  2. Click Add row for more days. Use the copy icon beside a row to duplicate it or the trash icon to delete it.
  3. Read the total, and add an hourly rate to see pay.

Frequently asked questions

How do I handle a night shift that ends after midnight?

Just enter the times as they are, for example 22:00 to 06:00. If the end time is earlier than the start, the calculator assumes the shift ended the next day.

How are hours shown in decimal?

Decimal hours divide minutes by 60. For example 7 hours 30 minutes is 7.5 hours, and 7:45 is 7.75 hours. Payroll systems usually want decimal hours.

Can I calculate pay?

Yes. Enter an hourly rate and the total pay for all rows is shown under the totals. Use Multiply by to scale hours and pay, for example by 4 to turn one week into a month.

Is my timesheet saved?

Nothing is sent anywhere. The data lives only in this browser tab.
